The concrete slab under Camp Little Notch’s iconic “shower under the stars” showerhouse has cracked and shifted over the years. We need to clear, re-pour the slab, and rebuild ( and make sure we keep our awesome Mural!). We plan to create wheelchair accessibility in the new structure while keeping with our simple classic pull the rope to shower open under the sky style.
It is not a huge project, but we are a tiny non-profit 501(c)3 and are watching every penny! The funds we do not spend on Showerhouse renovation can help gift underprivileged girls with an amazing week at summer camp.
Please help us renovate our wonderful showerhouse so we can sing in the shower in harmony with Nature under the trees and stars!
Who are we?
Camp Little Notch covers 443 acres of Adirondack wilderness. For over 70 years, thousands of girls have felt safe and strong at Little Notch, found their voices, hiked further than they thought they could, swam that impossible mile, learned to cherish the natural world, and found they were so much more than what they saw in the mirror. It is an authentic “old-school” wilderness camp with a program which promotes nature and play, wellness and empowerment.
CLN Girls’ Summer Camp is affirming, welcoming and safe; we celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and constantly fundraise to support camperships for girls who would otherwise never be able to afford a marvelous week at an Adirondack Wilderness summer camp. It is an intentionally diverse community, with tiered payment options, as well as camperships, to promote accessibility for children at all income levels.
When Summer Camp is not in session, the camp is rented out for camping, retreats, parties and weddings.
